Cheers to the Freaky Weekend

To be honest, Halloween is not really my thing. But after the gloomy week we've all had, there's something comforting about the idea of waking up on a Saturday morning, throwing on a silly costume, and brunching with friends.

Rain or shine, we're still on for Saturday! I'll be serving pumpkin waffles (let me know if you're gluten-free) with an assortment of sweet and savory toppings of your choice. Please feel free to contribute to the spread with other brunch sides/fruits/OJ/prosecco/sweet treats/etc. When: Saturday, October 30th from 12:00-2:00 p ET What: Hangry for Halloween? | Trick or Treat Yoself Location: My house. We'll party indoors since there is a 100% chance it'll be yucky outside. Note: Throw on your 2021 Halloween costumes, grab a friend, and come enjoy a waffle brunch on our porch. BYO-candy or fall refreshments to share. Parking: Plenty of Cambridge resident parking or metered parking on Mass Ave. Short walk from Porter/Harvard T stop.

We came. We kubb-ed. We conquered.

A bunch of Kubb noobs congregated at Cambridge Commons to partake in this age-old pastime of "Viking chess." Team Rubix Kubb and Bear Kubbs went head to head, baton to block, to knock down the many kubbs and king standing in the pitch on their path to victory. With the darkness settling in sooner than we'd like, we shimmied over to the Civil War Monument for some extra light and a lightning round of our most-moshed-sport, spikeball.
